By: Selah Haki The two works titled, “Softer” and “Ocean” are apart of a much larger series called Cali Free, where Wright combines signature collage techniques with elements of digital manipulation and a 19th century version of the California Constitution. According to their website, Boxcar Poetry Review is an online poetry journal showcasing the work of new and established poets with new issues appearing quarterly. The online literary magazine looks to publish the best poetry available, "be it lyric or narrative, or somewhere in between." Kobina Wright, creator and contributor of the blog, The Wrighter, is a Southern California native with a BA in Communications from California State University, Fullerton. She has written several books including “Raise the Red Teddy: A Single Mother’s Guide to Dating;” “The Hodaoa-Anibo Dictionary;” “50” and “A Crime And A Simplification of Something Sublime.” In November 2012, Wright exhibited an installation inspired by the Hodaoa-Anibo language and Tibetan Prayer Flags, through the traveling group show titled Circus Terminal, Thailand, in the city of Chiang Mai. She also exhibited in January 2013 at Studio B in Boyertown, PA through the group. Next month, three of Wright’s poems will be featured in The Bicycle Review. End
