Roberta De Francia's "M-East-Ery Park" is a teasing delight to audience's ears

March 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Roberta De Francia is an Italian singer/songwriter/guitarist who currently lives in London.  She has been playing classical guitar and singing since the age of 9 and has played in different musical projects that range from classical, acoustic to jazz.  Once she settled in London she began writing new songs in English.  Meeting great musicians inspired her to put a band together focusing on an eclectic fusion of great sounds such as percussion, bass, saxophone and guitar.  What developed was a jazzy, avant-garde musical delight filled with creative writing, genius arrangements all perfectly aligned to create maximum impact.  You can easily pick out the impressionistic, theatrical stylings of each band member which include Peter Bakaja (bass), Sam Hoile (drums), Jozef Berk (percussion) and Martino Scavacricchi (sax/cello).  Then there’s Roberta whose style of writing and her delightful and charismatic voice fuses it all together so beautifully.  

In August, 2012 Roberta’s second project “M-East-Ery Park” was released to outstanding reviews.

Her single “Dark Light Dance” is in relation to the intricate dance that the sun and moon play every day and night in the universe is personalized in this song as ‘free’ human beings called Jim and Lille.   The song is introduced to audience through the sound of bongo’s which segue’s into a glorious upbeat song describing this glorious dance.  “The voice which doesn’t follow a regular catchy melody represents the research of something innovative, progressive, provocative and non conformist which will be repeated in the other songs.  At the same time there is a deep thought, creativity and imagination about lyrics and subjects which are not ordinary in any song of the album”, states Roberta.  

Prior releases included a solo album “Roberta De Francia” (2009) which was an independent limited edition release filled with fresh and dynamic classic and jazz guitar elements that audiences thoroughly enjoy.
