Turmacin receives proprietary ingredient number

Ltd. recently received a proprietary ingredient (PI) number (108910) for its branded ingredient Turmacin™ from the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). Turmacin is a patent pending, novel ingredient with a unique, polysaccharide-rich, curcuminoid-free, aqueous extract from the rhizomes of the plant Curcuma longa. It is positioned for management of joint health.

In order for the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia to grant a Proprietary Ingredient (PI) number for a listable medicine, they thoroughly review the manufacturing process for that particular herbal ingredient. Once it is deemed that the exacting manufacturing standards required for listed medicines are met, the TGA will grant a PI number.
