Dallas Bar Association Hosts Fan Drive

Dallas Bar Association Hosts Fan Drive to help “beat the heat” this summer for the poor, elderly and disabled in Dallas County.

March 4, 2013 - PRLog -- WHAT: The Dallas Bar Association’s Community Involvement Committee, is holding a fan drive to help “beat the heat” this summer for the poor, elderly and disabled in Dallas County.
·         In 2011, rising inside temperatures claimed 31 Dallas County lives and caused countless suffering among the poor, elderly, and disabled.
·         In each case, a fan or window unit would have helped make a life-changing difference.
·         Heat-related illnesses are preventable!

The DBA’s Community Involvement Committee, led this year by Chair Peggy Heller, of TaxEase LP, provides volunteers for community projects and activities such as Habitat for Humanity, and annual food and clothing drives.

WHEN & WHERE: Donations (including new or gently used fans and A/C window units) will be accepted Saturday, April 13, through Saturday, April 26 at 6222 Stichter Avenue, Dallas, TX 75230 (Walnut Hill & Preston).

FOR MORE INFORMATION:  For more information about fan types/models, contact Christina Alstrin at (214) 526-5300 or Kathryn Zack at (214) 220-7450.
