Jacksonville, Florida – March 4, 2013 – Rethreaded, whose mission is to love those affected by the sex trade, is hosting a Shop for Freedom Warehouse Sale: Fashion Edition on April 6, 2013 from 2-8pm at the Rethreaded production warehouse at 820 Barnett Street.
The general public is invited to view and purchase products that directly impact the freedom of women coming out of the sex trade in Jacksonville and around the world. Rethreaded will debut its upcycled children’s line. The highly anticipated children’s line includes products made by Rethreaded’s first three employees, who converted donated t-shirts into fashionable children’s clothing.
The concept of upcycling is not new, however this business model is the first of its kind within the Northeast Florida region. “We’re looking forward to showcasing our newest product line and encourage families to come out! The event will include food trucks, face painting, and of course, a fun atmosphere for kids!” said Kristin Keen, Executive Director of Rethreaded.
Shop for Freedom Warehouse Sale: Fashion Edition also gives the local community an opportunity to learn about the various ways they can make a difference in the sex trade and human trafficking in Jacksonville.
