Pest Control in Lancaster PA Launches Facebook Page

Dominion Pest Control's founder, Gregory Pettis, decided to launch the new Facebook page after realizing the limitations of a regular web site.  "Our current web site has lots of great media content, lots of insect and rodent information, but we still felt that we could not keep up with the demand for Lancaster's residents who wanted even more media, at a quicker pace," Pettis explains. Dominion pioneered the way in pest control media with their reality show, "Dominators", which featured Dominion techs doing jobs that most Lancaster PA companies would not let cameras follow them behind on.  "Lancastrians loved it", Greg says with a smile. "Lancaster Newspapers did a two page story on it, and York Daily asked us to film another episode so they could film us being behind the camera."

Using a pest control Facebook page, allows Dominion to put excerpts and other footage that is filmed out in the field, directly onto a page and be shared with hundreds.  "We are over three hundred seventy five 'Likes', and the number just keeps growing weekly....it seems like our Lancaster pest control page is meeting a need."  Not all video is put on the Dominion Facebook page however; some video goes over to the FB Dominators fan page, which is at over four hundred fifty likes.  "The reason we chose to have two Facebook pages, one for the reality show, and one for the business, is due to the ability for our customers to contact with their pest control needs directly from Facebook.  We didn't think the reality show would be a good place for that, nor did we think some of the footage would be appreciated on our company Facebook," Pettis elaborates.

Going forward, Pettis says that Dominion's Facebook page is just the beginning for media.  "We are expecting it to go viral..." he continues.
