Volusia County’s Women Leaders Panel Creativity Discussion

March 4, 2013 - PRLog -- On Sunday March 10th, MAC DeLand and the Florida Museum for Women Artists will host an afternoon tea and panel discussion honoring the contributions of Volusia County’s women leaders. Titled “Cultivating a Creative Community,” the panel will feature successful female business leaders and creative professionals.

Moderated by Crystal Romanyszyn the Executive Director for the Florida Museum of Women Artists, author and keynote speaker; the discussion coincides with Women’s History month, an international celebration of women’s contributions to events in history and contemporary society. MAC DeLand spokesperson Giuli Schacht says, “This is a showcase of influential women creating a dialogue highlighting the potential for economic success through a commitment to arts and culture as an industry sector in our community.”

Panelists include Dale Arrington, Assistant City Manager, City of DeLand, Inez Bracy, is the owner of The Bracy Group, award winning author an radio and TV personality, Dr. Deborah Goldring, is an Assistant Professor of Marketing in the School of Business Administration at Stetson University, Angela Cameron Daniels, Marketing Director, Ocean Center, Daytona Beach, Susan Ward, Founder and President, ITECS Innovative Consulting and Candace Lankford, Volusia County School Board Member.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Florida Museum of Women Artists. Located in DeLand, this non-profit gallery and educational facility is the only museum of its kind in the Southeast United States that showcases and promotes art exclusively by women artists.

“DeLand already has a distinguished reputation for excellence in the creative arts. With the addition of the SunRail train station and the commitment of our civic leaders to economic development, we think DeLand is poised to become the creative mecca for Volusia County,” says Crystal Romanyszyn, Executive Director of the museum, adding “We are proud to host this event in conjunction with MAC DeLand.”

“Cultivating a Creative Community” will be held on Sunday, March 10th from 1-4pm at the Florida Museum for Women Artists, 100 N Woodland Blvd., DeLand, FL 32720. Tickets are $20. The event is to be videotaped for broadcast at a later date. Advance tickets are available online at: www.macdeland.com
