West Sound Radio presentation After the opening address by Norman Geddes, West Sound Radio put on an informative, stimulating and enjoyable presentation. Adele Salveta, Bauer Media Research, gave a talk entitled “How Radio Works”, or more specifically how West Sound works to deliver most effectively the right advertising message to the right audience at the right time. James Pllu, Programme Controller, gave a fascinating account of the meticulous attention which the three radio stations in the West Sound group give to ensuring that their local audience hear exactly the right music that is perfectly attuned to their particular tastes. And finally, creative writer Steve Gibbs gave a talk illustrated with audio clips showing how the particular characteristics of radio listening can be harnessed in a creative way in order to maximise the impact of an advertiser’s message upon its intended audience. After the meeting, West Sound Radio station director Brenda Ritchie commented: “West Sound Radio was delighted to welcome so many people from a diverse range of businesses to Radio House. We always enjoy hosting these events on behalf of the Elite Ayrshire Business Circle, and look forward to working with them again in the very near future.” Elite Ayrshire Business Circle executive chairman Norman Geddes concluded: “Brenda Ritchie is to be congratulated on putting together such a dynamic team of individuals who so obviously enjoy working together and pooling their talents in order to keep West Sound at the forefront of the radio industry. “The welcome our members received was first class, and we thank all involved for their kind hospitality.” West Sound Radio 54a Holmston Road Ayr KA7 3BE Telephone: 01292 283662 Web: http://www.westsound.co.uk http://www.westfm.co.uk THE ELITE AYRSHIRE BUSINESS CIRCLE The Elite Ayrshire Business Circle is an association founded in 2007 by some of the top companies in Ayrshire.
