Eddie Bravo ‘tears up’ in Darlington UK

March 1, 2013 - PRLog -- The seminar is one of five seminars being held across the UK promoting Eddie’s unique martial arts system that doesn’t use the aid of a traditional martial arts uniform or ‘gi’. Eddie developed the style which uses different grip and setup techniques in response to the fact that traditional Jiu Jitsu methods were less effective on the UFC. Eddie wanted to see the effectiveness of traditional methods proven and consequently developed the ‘10th Planet’ fighting method.

Eddie shot to fame when he defeated Royler Gracie at the Abu Dhabi Submission Wrestling Championships.

Eddie is also guest of honour at the UCFC5 fight show on Saturday March 2nd at The Frontier, Batley. The UCFC5 includes top fighters from the UK and other European countries.

About the tour, Eddie says, “It’s been way too long since I’ve done a seminar in the UK, can’t wait to tear up again. I greatly appreciate the love for Jiu Jitsu that the Brits have. I’m super-excited to be a guest at the UCFC, sounds like a crazy fun time.”

‘10th Planet’ or ‘no-gi Jiu Jitsu’ has become very popular on the UFC since its inception in back in 2003 in Hollywood, California. There are now 45 ‘10th Planet’ schools around the world and local academy Evolution Martial Arts is just one of three clubs to teach the style, here in the UK. Other ‘10th Planet’ practitioners include Joe Rogan, Dan Hardy, Shinya Aoki and Chris Herzog.

Eddie’s Darlington seminar will take place at ‘10th Planet Darlington’, Evolution Martial Arts Academy, 1 Bank House, Bank Road, Darlington, DL1 1YA  on Thursday 7th March at 6pm till 8pm.
