$1M+ Remodel Complete at Thunderbird Harley-Davidson

Feb. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Thunderbird Harley-Davidson has officially finished their four-month renovation and is preparing to celebrate with a grand re-opening and tent event on March 22nd through the 24th.

After refinishing and expanding the parking lot, the more than $1 million renovation moved to the building, adding numerous new spaces for customers – all within the existing building footprint.

Among the many changes made, the building has a new entrance and training facility. More than 7,000 square feet were added to the showroom, a new customer “refueling station” or café was added, as was a new customer lounge. The service department was updated with new bays and lighting, and a new “ride in” service area was created for customers. Aesthetically, new paint colors were applied and new flooring, graphics and fixtures updated the rest of the building.

The grand re-opening celebration will take place Friday, March 22nd through Sunday, March 24th. Activities will include three “absolute auctions,” one per day, where bidders can win a pre-owned motorcycle (bidding starts at $250), five drawings for one free Rider’s Edge course, vendors, Jumpstart rides, raffles and giveaways, food, games and more.

On Friday, the Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting and open house from 3:00 pm. to 5:00 p.m. It will be followed by the first absolute auction at 6:00 p.m. On Saturday activities will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with the second absolute auction taking place at noon. On Sunday, activities will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the final absolute auction will take place again at noon. All weekend long a tent event will also take place with specials on new and pre-owned bikes available.

Starting March 11th, the store will also have new operating hours. Monday through Friday the store will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and service will be open 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Both the store and service department will be open 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.
