Now anyone can fly around the world without leaving Nottingham!
A new experience takes off in the East Midlands this week as flight simulator company SimSpot launches in Nottingham.
Born out of Directors Jay van Wyk and Mark Onyett's love of flying, the company offers anyone the chance to be a pilot and test their skills flying from any airport in the world.
The only next generation flight simulator in the East Midlands (and one of only two in the entire country of its kind), the simulator can be used to train professional pilots as well as being used by the general public, and is open until 10pm every day.
Based in the Cornerhouse in the centre of Nottingham, the simulator has room for two "pilots" plus a trainer (all of whom are professional pilots themselves), and can be used for corporate training days, groups or simply as an unusual gift experience.
Jay van Wyk says, "I came up with the idea of bringing a simulator to Nottingham while instructing at Tollerton airport. A simulator gives everyone the chance to experience being at the controls of a plane and may inspire more people to become pilots, especially as they may not previously have had the chance to see if this was something they were interested in. It also simply makes a great experience to try!"
SimSpot is at the top of the Cornerhouse in Nottingham. Prices start from £25 for a gift voucher, and £49 for a 20 minute experience.
