A useful tool for children with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia

Lexicon Reading Centre (http://www.lexiconreadingcenter.org/) [LRC] is a Dubai-situated learning center that supports differently-enabled kids realize their true potential.

As part of this vision, Lexicon Reading Center is announcing a unique program named ‘Linking Mind Maps to Dyslexia and Dysgraphia’; to specifically help encourage the use of Mind Mapping as a technique for students with learning difficulties.

It's estimated that 1 in 6 students today have some form of learning difficulty manifest as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, attention deficit disorder, autism and such. The important thing here is how we as parents, educators and as concerned people of an enlightened society help such children. There are many ways.

As part of the Linking Mind Maps to Dyslexia and Dysgraphia, Lexicon Reading Center has planned a series of activities for students, educators and parents of children with learning difficulties.

The first is a Free Ebook Download for students, teachers and parents. This free Ebook introduces Mind Maps and mentions some of the top resources available for students, educators and parents. Secondly, in association with ThinkBuzan, Lexicon Reading Center, has also planned a Tony Buzan workshop on Mind Mapping for Differently Enabled Children. This workshop is perfect for parents and educators to learn first-hand, from the father of Mind Mapping himself. The event will be held at Rashid Medical Library Auditorium, Rashid Hospital, Dubai, UAE on Sunday, 17-Mar-2013.

Tony Buzan's Mind Mapping Workshop is a distinctive chance for parents and teachers of children with learning difficulties, to grasp the strategies of learning and teaching more effectively, using Mind Maps.
