Fewer Homes for Sale in Puyallup while Listing Prices Rise

Feb. 26, 2013 - PRLog -- According to the Market Report - a publication of John L Scott (http://www.findhousesinpuyallup.com ) by Jim Selden - the number of homes for sale in Puyallup, WA was 431, down 8.94% from 469 in December. This is the 4th consecutive month where the number of homes for sale decreased.

The average price of homes for sale was $244,119, which was up from $243,616 in December. Likewise the median price of homes for sale - the number at which half of the homes listed for sale were for more and half were for less - increased 1.1% to $241,947.

"Prices are on the rise in the greater Pierce County, Washington region," said Jim Selden who released the study. "A good sign of a housing recovery now underway!"

The prices varied according to the size of the homes
- 2 bedroom - $100,457 - a decrease of 11.49% from December
- 3 bedroom - $219,326 - a decrease of 1.17% from December
- 4 bedroom - $308,676 - an increase of 2.2% from December
- 5 bedroom - $301,784 - an increase of 0.05% from December


The average home for sale has 3 bedrooms and 2.28 bathrooms.

The high schools in Puyallup, WA with the highest average home price were:
