Success Drives Expansion Of Peterborough Team At Saffery Champness
Just over a year after moving to new offices to accommodate its growing team the Peterborough office of top-20 accountants Saffery Champness is expanding again.
At the end of 2011 the firm moved its Peterborough operations to Unex House, an extensively refurbished historic railway building on Bourges Boulevard.
At that time there were 38 staff in Peterborough headed by partners Stephen Collins and Jane Hill. Now the company is fulfilling the promise of expansion it made at the time of the move with confirmed and planned new appointments taking the total team to around 50 people by the end of this year.
Stephen Collins said: “We have already recruited a number of people and are now looking for additional talented individuals keen to develop their career with a leading national accountancy firm.”
To meet the demands of its growing business Saffery Champness is looking for personnel at all levels from school leavers with A-levels seeking to enter the accountancy profession right through to experienced senior staff.
Mr Collins added: “We know that in Peterborough and surrounding areas such as Stamford and Rutland there are many professionals commuting to work in places such as London, Leicester and Birmingham. In fact, from our office location practically alongside the main line railway station in Peterborough we probably see many of them every day!
“We can make their lives easier, and boost the success of our business, by employing them right here in Peterborough.”
