After Three Day Hearing Judge Issues Award in Favor of Imbesi Christensen Client

Feb. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Attorneys Vincent Imbesi and Brittany Weiner, of the law firm Imbesi Christensen, successfully represented an employee regarding a determination by the Department of Labor that the employee made "willful false statements" in order to obtain benefits.  The Department of Labor demanded repayment from the employee of over $80,000.  

The Honorable Paula Yorke issued an award, in favor of the firm's client, after a three day hearing. The decision overruled a determination by the Department of Labor that the employee willfully made false statements in order to obtain benefits.

Specifically, the decision set forth the following:

DECISION: The initial determinations holding the claimant ineligible to receive benefits,effective January 30, 2012...are overruled.  

The claimant is allowed benefits with respect to the issues decided herein
