Feb. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- The New Year is getting well underway.  Passover and Easter are around the corner. We are having the wonderful weather people come from all over the world to enjoy.  Exciting new things keep popping up around town – The Tampa Bay Brewery Tap House is a great example – go in and get a tour of a high end micro brewery and sample some of the best beer you can find anywhere in the world.

We live in exciting times.  Technology continues to advance at ever greater speed giving us more ability to stretch our awareness and influence far beyond our local community.  Challenges continue to arise but we have a never ending flow of possible solutions.  All we have to do is stay focused on seeking out solutions rather than complaining about the problems – that’s how great new advances come about.

Medical science is one area of constant advancement.  It’s also an area where you can do a lot to prevent a problem before it develops.  Here at OTN we hope to help prevent problems by always focusing on solutions.  We have some very talented columnists who will be providing solution oriented information.  Scott Brook, Family Law Attorney and former Mayor of Coral Springs has launched a monthly healthy family tips column.  Dr. Gilbert Hirschberg DDS will have a regular column called “Talking Teeth” to give you tips on keeping your gums and teeth functioning painlessly and properly.  Dr. Cajar has become our nutrition expert and will be back in the coming months with more healthy eating information.   Rick Rap, our resident Real Estate expert gives homeowners and buyers’ regular market updates.  We are always working to be a good source for news about positive things going on in our communities.

In my role as GM for OTN, I get to know a lot of the people and professionals in our local communities.  This has some advantages in the fact that I get to learn about some of the best opportunities that are available.  One such opportunity – really some important information – came through discussing the services of Coral Springs Spine and Nerve.  In working on bringing them more business – that is our job for all of our advertisers after all – I wanted to find out why someone should go to a chiropractor unless they had a bad backache.  Well, preventing a problem before it gets serious is the clear answer.   An x-ray of my back clearly showed that in the central section of my spine the padding between the bones was deteriorating.  This deterioration, if not treated, will lead to pain and lack of mobility as I get older.  Turns out Doctors’ Craig and Aliyah have filled their facility with state-of-the-art equipment that includes a machine for totally non-invasive spinal decompression which is exactly what my back needs to get back in shape.

That’s the kind of information we want to provide as we continue to seek out positive, useful information for our readers.  After all, that’s why so many people love reading Our Town News!
