Feb. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- "Monologues: Dramatic Monologues For Actors" without a doubt is the most versatile book of monologues for actors available on the market today. Even more impressive ... it comes in a "hardcover" which is somewhat rare in the publishing industry nowdays; especially for "self-published" authors.

"It is such a wonderful feeling to see that people are still very interested in this book today considering I published it in 2008.

Barnes & Noble offers the hardcover for $27.00 and the paperback for only $18.00. Even better, B&N offers "free shipping" for orders over $25 which means that the hardcover can be purchased for only  a few dollars more than the paperback.

"I'm receiving calls from actors on the East and West coast about my book which is very exciting. The actors get to speak directly to the author (me) and I get to interact with the actors (readers). This experience and exchange is about as 'unique' as the book itself. To better serve people interested in my book, selected monologues can be viewed on my website". http://www.poorpennyproductions.com/index/Monologues:_Dramatic_Monologues_For_Actors

B&N offers "Monologues: Dramatic Monologues For Actors" as a "textbook" in the textbook section because it offers so much more than monologues. Not only are there 32 "original monologues" from the author's plays, films, tv pilots and radio dramas, but there are chapters on stage terminology, film terminology, and commonly used vernacular. These features make this book a tremendous resource for teaching acting for professors, acting coaches, teachers, and educators as a whole. The book does make a great textbook, but would serve B&N and its customers even better if it was sold as an "acting" and "monologue" book inaddition to the textbook category. Actors looking for this book most likely would not look in the textbook category and thereby miss out or purchase it from Amazon, Books A Million, or other B&N's competitors.

"The monologues are excellent for all actors because of their versatility. In an industry where one good monologue could mean the difference between getting the role or not, a good actor would be hard pressed not to find at least one good audition monologue out of the thirty two".

Barnes & Nobles also offers other books by Hudson including, Showtime: Comedic Acting Scenes for Two Actors, 48 Poems: Reflections Of A Poet, and the newly released, "Why I Sued Eddie Murphy".

Hudson has a MFA in performing arts managment, a BA in theatre, teaches drama in the New York City Public School System, and CEO/Founder of Poor Penny Productions, Inc.
