-- Janet Marlow’s passion for using music as a common language for the animal-human bond was inspired by her dogs and cats over a decade ago when she observed the effect it had on their behavior. In this program, Janet will discuss how her ground breaking research led her to found Pet Acoustics Inc., a company dedicated to creating special music for dogs, cats, horses, and birds. Her Relaxation Music for Pets has proven to successfully put animals at ease acoustically and scientifically and is used in animal shelters, veterinary hospitals and pet owner workshops where she strives to help make animals feel safe and connected to their environments.
International recording artist, Janet Marlow is known for her mastery of multiple styles of guitar, composing, and jazz vocals. Her performances have taken her around the world to such venues as the Festival Estival de Paris, The Apollo, Carnegie Hall Lincoln Center and more. Janet has appeared on Animal Planet, CNN, Martha Stewart, and the Today Show and is a consultant for Purina Friskies. Entrepreneur Magazine named Pet Acoustics one of the “Top 100 Companies for Brilliant Ideas”. Her website is petacoustics.com.
