DDA creates an exciting new interactive video player for NAPNAP featuring instant polling & videos
DDA created this series of 10 videos to help the National Association of Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) educate the public about the proper management of ADHD. Instant polling results give viewers insight into others’ experiences with the disorder.
NAPNAP provided the two nurse practitioners featured in the videos, while DDA sourced the cast of ADHD patients from the DDA Actors’ Network. The client was quite vocal in their praise of the integrity and professionalism of each of the actors sourced by DDA for the videos. DDA’s professional copywriters took the initial client-delivered content and refined it into finished scripts for each of the videos. All videos were shot in front of a green screen at DDA’s studios, with a custom, DDA-designed 3D environment of a doctor’s office being used as the backdrop for all. This 3D environment featured cool tones of soothing blues and greys, helping to evoke the sense of calm and focus that those with ADHD are looking to gain through treatment.
DDA custom-designed the user interface employed to play through the videos, with a color scheme and visual layout consonant with the 3D backdrops used in the videos helping to establish a consistent aesthetic to the video player. Users have the option to view all videos sequentially, with a short poll following at the end, or can choose to view the videos in the order of their own choosing if desired. The poll allows either children with ADHD or their parents to answer some basic questions about their background and their own experiences with ADHD. Upon completing the poll, users are instantly shown the results of all polls taken by viewers. These results are reported both globally for all users of the video player, while also being broken down by age and gender for an even greater level of detail. DDA ensured that the design of the video player matched perfectly with NAPNAP’s established website, and was able to deliver the project in time for debut during the 2012 ADHD Awareness Week. The client warmly received the project, stating “Thanks again for all the work that you and your team did to make this project a success!”
