Feb. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- CHANDLER (AZ)—Brighton Publishing LLC is thrilled to announce the signing of author Todd E. Shewmaker for his latest work “The Ticket: Terror Below.” Sunk in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean lies the remains of a U.S. submarine, its crew, and…numerous national secrets. The Ticket: Terror Below is scheduled for eBook release in mid-2013 and will be available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other leading retailers nationwide. The print version is currently slated for release in late-2013 and will be available through Ingram, the world’s largest book distributor.

Hidden from the prying eyes of humanity, in the depths of the world’s oceans, lie the secrets of the ages. For private investigator Trip Black, one riddle, in particular, remains to be solved—the sinking of the nuclear powered submarine USS Paddlefish along with his Uncle Matt and ninety-eight other souls onboard.

At the height of the Cold War, the USS Paddlefish became an enigmatic symbol, a projection of military might, and…a devastating weapon against the foes of the United States.

The black depths of the Atlantic now holds sway over Trip’s quest for truth and he will do everything in his power to bring the answer into the cold light of day.

Soon, Trip and his investigative partner Brian seek out federal assistance and begin to draw upon favors owed to them by several prominent D.C. legislators. Eventually, Trip’s hopes are answered when one such legislator allocates the necessary funds to raise the lost sub.

Unfortunately, there are other sinister agents and their covert agencies at work, and they intend to keep the boat, and its secrets where they are…in the murky embrace of the Atlantic Ocean. Trip now finds himself involved in a dangerous game and these people play for keeps. Now, it’s either get out or…go all in.

“Author Todd E. Shewmaker revisits the numbing fear caused by the Cold War and the inevitable secrets that remain alive, but unanswered, to this day,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “Avid readers of Clive Cussler’s Dirk Pitt novels will appreciate the illuminating plot and intense action found in The Ticket: Terror Below.”
Author Todd E. Shewmaker is a veteran of the United States Navy and has served his country aboard a nuclear-powered fast-attack submarine. During his service, he has seen deployments to various areas including the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, and the Caribbean. After his discharge, Mr. Shewmaker received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the University of Texas and now continues in the demanding field of nuclear power. Mr. Shewmaker currently resides in St. Joseph, Michigan with his two lovely daughters.
