Feb. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Meet N Greet With Toronto Arogs Chad Owens, Maurice Mann and Tristan Black

Come down to Boston Pizza at Square One on March 6th and meet your Grey Cup Champs Chad Ownes, Maurice Mann and Tristan Black. They will be signing autographs and taking photos from 6pm-8pm.  A signed football will be raffled off and we will be selling IDFFL Chad Owens 3K3 t-shirts, Chad’s own clothing line and Maurice Mann’s new book.

We will also be registering players for the IDFFL’s 7 on 7 fast football league.

Not Your Typical 7 on 7 Football League

Toronto Argonauts star Chad Owens and former Detroit Lions and Toronto Argonauts Anthony Cannon are pleased to announce a new 7 on 7 football league in the GTA for players ages 9 to 19. The International Developmental Fast Football League (IDFFL) is being launched in March 2013 in the Mississauga/Oakville Area. “This is not your typical 7 on 7 league”, says President and founder Anthony Cannon. “At its core, the IDFFL is an instructional league and it utilizes the same coaching strategies used at the professional ranks”. The architects of the league are Anthony Cannon, current Argonaut and former Cincinnati Bengal Maurice Mann.

In the IDFFL, players will be in an environment where they can develop their play making ability through high quality, fast paced repetition and instruction. This non-contact, skills-based league is necessary according to Owens who, this year, became the only football player to ever attain 3,000 All-Purpose Yards 3 years in a row. Owens welcomes the IDFFL as a long overdue program.

Another major component of the league is its focus on mentoring. Every coach and referee will be a current and former NFL, CFL, NCAA and/or CIS player. “I know a lot of current and former NFL/CFL players who want to share their talent and who are dedicated to the sport. Their mentorship can help young athletes turn their dreams into reality” says Cannon.

The IDFFL’s season will be 8 regular season games played indoors from March to May. Players will be taught a football curriculum and coaches will be involved in teaching proper football form and technique. For general inquiries visit
