ColterDurham, Develops Rapid Evacuation Product, Kicks off Fundraising Campaign With IndieGoGo

Feb. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Lehi, UT – ColterDurham, a veteran-owned small business launched their first fundraising campaign with IndieGoGo to raise $80,000 for manufacturing in order to bring The Original StowCart® to market. The StowCart is a revolutionary emergency preparedness solution that uniquely combines storage and mobility in one (patents-pending upright storage device that quickly converts into either a handcart or roof-top storage tote for your vehicle). “The Right Gear + Mobility = Readiness™ ”, is the mantra and purpose behind the design. This practical product should be a major part of emergency plans for businesses, hospitals, hotels and individual households.

Ryon Brown, Owner, ColterDurham states,
“You never know when you may need to evacuate. We have three young children and realized that we would not be able to evacuate our home with our children and all our emergency preparedness supplies in one trip. We looked around and discovered that there’s not an adequate product out there to address this simple and widespread problem. I don’t want to mess with several awkward, heavy bags in a crisis; and I wanted all my emergency supplies and gear to be in one place. I’m sure others share our concern and this is what led me to design this product.”

“We’ve received interest in the StowCart from hospitals, businesses, large retailers, as well as private consumers. We are at a pivotal point in which we need to raise funds to help bring this exciting new product to market; with our grass roots efforts through IndieGoGo, we are hoping to overcome some of the cost hurdles in the manufacturing process.”

The Original Stow Cart is made from nearly 100% recyclable components and most are post-consumer sourced. The StowCart will be available for purchase summer 2013.
