Belvoir raises £25,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support

Feb. 19, 2013 - PRLog -- For the past two years Belvoir franchise owners have participated in charity fundraising events all around the country. Events in 2012 included a family fun day organised by Belvoir Melton Mowbray, a charity golf day organised by Belvoir Northwich, a 10K run by the team at Belvoir Andover and a charity sky dive completed by marketing manager Reena Patel and sales executive Sarah Wood from Belvoir’s Central Office.

“This is a fantastic achievement,” says Belvoir CEO, Dorian Gonsalves. “So many franchise owners have worked extremely hard to raise such a substantial amount of money and they should be congratulated for this. However, I also know that people have had a lot of fun too, and I am delighted to announce that a decision has been made for Belvoir to continue raising funds for Macmillan during 2013.

“Macmillan is a very worthwhile charity, helping so many people and families who are affected by cancer. Every penny raised makes a difference to people’s lives.”

“Cancer affects so many people – one in three people in the UK will be diagnosed at some point in their lives and there are two million people currently living with cancer. The number of people with cancer is growing every day. We want to reach and improve the lives of every one of those people.

The efforts of the Belvoir network’s top charity champions will be recognised at the company’s annual awards on 20th March, 2013.
