Casimiro Global Foundation Honors Right Management

Feb. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Recognizing business innovation and social good, the Miami-based Casimiro Global Foundation has honored talent and career management consulting firm Right Management Florida/Caribbean as 2013 Socially Responsible Corporation of the Year.  

Tom Shea, CEO of Right Management Florida/Caribbean and his wife, Executive Vice President and CFO Maureen Shea, received the award at the Casimiro Global Foundation’s annual gala in Miami this month.  Dedicated to empowering young people to become entrepreneurs, innovators and leaders who create positive change in their communities and the world, the non-profit Casimiro Foundation is active in 15 countries, and has worked with over 100,000 children, teens and young adults since its founding in 2000.  

According to the foundation’s CEO and founder Juan Casimiro, “The Sheas empower people of all ages to thrive in the face of change.  By nurturing talent to help organizations achieve business goals, Right’s team builds capacity in individuals and in communities.  It’s an approach that has made a meaningful difference throughout Florida and the Caribbean region.”

In addition to helping more than 40,000 people advance their careers since founding their Fort Lauderdale-based firm in 1979, the Sheas and their team are long-time business and community leaders.   Their efforts to empower youth include active support of organizations such as the Jim Moran Youth Automotive Training Center, as well as Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.  Inducted into the Junior Achievement of South Florida Hall of Fame, the Sheas are also leaders in the United Way of Broward and in many Catholic organizations.  Through the Florida Human Resource Organization, Right Management Florida/Caribbean has donated career transition services to HR professionals in transition since 2009, and has assisted close to 5,000 individuals.
