It has been estimated that there might be a shortfall of 5.6 million skillful resources in USA by the year 2010. As a result of this shortfall as well as the cost advantage, India has gained more possibilities to become the destination for KPO services. At present, around 30% of the global KPO services have been provided in India with the value of 6 billion US Dollars. This proportion will become high in future as the Indian public organizations, defense wfavv research foundations and private firms are experts in engineering design. Another key factor is the high number of young and energetic engineering talents i.e., in India around 300,000 engineers are generated per year. India has also It is necessary to understand the evolution of KPO in India from the view that India has enough strength to act as a proper destination and driver for KPO sector.become a favorite place for legal outsourcing as its legal system is based on British Common Law as in the case of USA and UK.  In addition, the low real estate costs in India, have made the well established firms including McKinsey, PricwewaterhouseCoopers, KPMG,etc., to build research centers in India. The sector specific research of the famous rating agencies in India has created a spill over in the Indian market and motivated the medium sized consulting firms to get into Indian market.
