Highland's Beer City Experience guests stay at Aloft Hotel in downtown Asheville
-- With a burgeoning craft beer industry, North Carolina will celebrate the inaugural NC Beer Month in April 2013 with events across the state. Dinners, tours, special tastings, and collaboration brews will be available from breweries, bars and restaurants.
In Asheville, Highland Brewing Company is offering the "Beer City Experience,"
a weekend package referred to as the "Cadillac of Beer Month events" by a NC Dept of Tourism representative. The one- and two-night options both include accommodations at the new Aloft hotel in downtown Asheville, tours of RiverBend Malt House and Highland Brewing, a comedy tour of Asheville with LaZoom Tours, a beer dinner at Lexington Avenue Brewing, brunch at Blackbird, a commemorative Highland beer brewed with Asheville's own Maté Factor tea, and local treats from French Broad Chocolates and Broo Shampoo. "Our local partners are so supportive, with each one offering a special value just for this weekend. It's easy to mix beer with other experiences, so our guests will see many sides of Asheville in one fantastic trip," said Leah Wong Ashburn of Highland Brewing.
The event is limited to 38 guests. Deadline to reserve is April 5. $349 per couple for one night, $499 per couple for two nights - all tax and gratuity included and almost 50% off retail.
