Quality Life Center Celebrates Black History Month with a Live Museum

Feb. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- The community is invited to Quality Life Center to celebrate Black History Month on Friday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the center at 3210 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Fort Myers. The children and teens in Quality Life Center’s arts and afterschool programs entertain with music, dance and spoken word as pioneers of black history come alive. The teen girls will present commentary on the recent violence in the community with a performance of an original poem. Their passionate performance urges women to set the standard in order to change the dynamic on gun violence.
