Feb. 15, 2013 - PRLog -- Just the other day I was speaking with someone who asked me why they tend to hold themselves back from doing what they are capable of , when it hit me like a load of bricks.

Every other sentence began with a bad case of the Once--I's.

What are these Once-I's you ask?

Let me tell you. They are the stumbling block to Success.

You see, so many people have great ideas, wonderful dreams and desires. Yet when pressed on why they don't follow through on these things, they usually begin their sentence like this...like they are waiting for the perfect time to actually do it, we say things like...

Well,
•"Once I find that perfect job", or
•"Once I get some money saved up", or "the Kids leave the house", or
•"Once I find the right people to back me", or...whatever.
•You are a bright group and get where I'm headed on this, right?

Here's the BIG secret , there is 'Always' the perfect time to do something, and that time is NOW, whoops, there it goes, OK the best time to do something is....Now,
Oh my, there it goes that perfect time again, OK, how about..... Now?...opps can't get that time back.

You get the picture, there are only so many hours in the day, and so many days in our lives on this wonderful planet, so make the most of them, life's too short to "wait" it out.

For myself, Here is my little (knucklehead) theory, that I got over fast.
I was waiting to get that special dream house , you know, that one in your favorite part of town, near the best schools, painted in your favorite color, for when I, or (Once I) met that perfect woman to share it with.

Boy, did that pay off, (Sarcastic tone) Let me tell you... the property values doubled, so I now have to pay twice as much, and due to my inaction, the best houses got sold before I stepped up to the plate so my selection is now limited, and the funny thing is...Now that I am finally in escrow to buy that great house, what do you know...I met that special lady...funny how thing work, huh?

How many times have you also, waited too long, only to see the opportunity vanish, or someone else get credit for your great idea?

The Moral of the story, we ALL have something we have been putting off, a dream left unfulfilled until the (right Time). So I challenge you, as I do each and every month.

Sit down, write it out, and find exactly what you have been waiting for, due to your own personal case of the Once-I's.

Then, as always, Take action and just do it. The best time to cure our bad case of the Once-I's, is right Now!

Fears Only Enemy is ACTION. You can't steal second when your foot is on first base.
