Having gained a clear understanding as to what our client wants, our Adviser will invest the time and resources available to produce a report. Depending on its contents, that report may be sent to the client enabling it to be read prior to the second meeting, or it may be appropriate for the report to be presented and explained.
Should the report have been sent to our client, we would appreciate the client reading it before the next appointment. Usually our client will have questions that need addressing during the meeting. It's normal practice at this stage that providing our client understands and is ultimately satisfied with our recommendations, that the paperwork is then completed and forwarded to the institution(
However, occasionally it may be necessary to have a third meeting. For example, the client's circumstances may have changed and or perhaps more research is needed.
It is essential that our clients clearly understand our recommendations and how we arrived at them before we can allow them to proceed. It is for that reason that we believe it to be in our clients' best interests that the process is completed ideally within a week. In those instances where 3 appointments are required, 2 weeks is likely to be necessary. Should it take longer, our experience shows that as our typical client is a busy expatriate dealing with many other issues at the same time, much of what was discussed at the first meeting may have to be covered again.
