Journalist Sarah Hearn joins the Rise & Rejoice Morning Show with Brother T
Rise & Rejoice Morning Show with Brother T adds gospel music news to its morning format. Journalist Sarah Hearn will serve as news correspondent.
“I am so excited to join the Rise & Rejoice Morning Show with Brother T and provide listeners with positive news about the gospel community. There are great things happening in gospel music and I thank God for the opportunity to spread the word,” Hearn says. She’s also excited about being connected to CJBRadio.com.
"Simone Henry and Kevin James are building a solid internet presence and I am proud to be a small part of that movement,” said Hearn.
Sarah Hearn is a freelance journalist who gained a substantial following as the DC Gospel Music Examiner. She provides updates on trends in gospel music, concerts, artist profiles, interviews and independent artist spotlights. Her work has appeared or been cited in Cross Rhythms and Vision Magazine. She also appeared as a guest on one of the highest rated segments of the radio show, The Music Box with Tanya Dallas-Lewis.
Her on-the-scene reporting has included the Stellar Awards, Dove Awards, the Congressional Black Caucus, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Celebration, Gospel Music Heritage Month Celebration, Disney’s Dreamers Academy with Steve Harvey, the Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Conference and countless others. Her published interviews include Andraé Crouch, Donald Lawrence, CeCe Winans, Mary Mary, Fred Hammond, Richard Smallwood and Kurt Carr.
TaMorris Pettway (Brother T) is an Alabama native. As a teenager Brother T fueled his musical passion by becoming a DJ. From that experience Brother T learned to blend music in a way that others would enjoy. Blessed with an ear for the right sound, a career in radio seemed the most logical progression. “Rather than play music in limited spaces, I figured it would be better to share the good news with the whole world through the use of a broader network, internet radio,” Brother T says.
Brother T is committed to community efforts, serving in various volunteer positions to assist young people and others in need. For two years he poured into the lives of young people at his local Boys and Girls Club, where he taught character-building skills. His love of music and his passion for people led to the creation of a broadcast platform that seeks to get the listener’s day started on a positive note.
CJBRadio.com was launched in 2008 by Simone Henry and Kevin James serves as Program Director. The internet station has a diverse line-up that includes The Independent Showcase with Wanda P, Brotha Live, The Mark Gungor Show, The Afternoon Praise Party with Kevin James, children’s programming and much more. CJBRadio.com received the Gospel Blue M.I.C Radio Award for Internet Radio Station of Year in 2012.
The official airdate of “Positively Gospel with Sarah Hearn” will be announced on Brother T’s show and through social media.
