The Fair Trade Practice achieves Crystal Mark for plain English
The Fair Trade Practice, one of the UK’s most ethical claims management specialists has recently achieved the Crystal Mark for making its Terms & Conditions and Letter of Authority documents understandable and clear for customers.

The Hampshire based company is the first claims management company in the UK to get the Crystal Mark of approval from the Plain English Campaign, a global advocate for the use of plain English.
Claims management companies have been notoriously criticised for their use of jargon, which frequently confuse customers.
Pete Sichel, Director at The Fair Trade Practice, said choosing the right claims management company to handle your PPI claim can be a difficult decision if you have to wade through lots of jargon.
The company is the recipient of two Crystal Marks for its PPI Claims Pack documents - the Letter of Authority and the Terms and Conditions.
Pete Sichel noted that while the original documents compared to many of other companies were relatively straightforward, working with the Plain English Campaign found ways to make both documents easier to understand and he added that the new accreditation is “a defining moment for us”.
With these documents receiving the Crystal Mark, The Fair Trade Practice is committed to placing more documents, such as e-mail messages, short message service (SMS) text and letters, through the Crystal Mark process.
