WHAT: Debut of Darrin Henson's Narrative Short of Film "The Hotel" starring Henson, Amrapali Ambegaokar, Carlos Korotana, Mona Sishodia with a reception following to discuss opportunities for the upcoming April 4-6 Oakland International Film Festival, May 15-26th Cannes International Film Festival and the June 13-16th San Francisco Black Film Festival. After the viewing of Henson's "The Hotel," filmmakers, actors, investors and sponsors will hear about the Cannes International Film Festival and the Bay Area bookend festivals, the Oakland International Film Festival and San Francisco Film Festivals. From his 20 years of working Cannes, Jacquie Taliaferro, will give filmmakers special insights of how to maximize the Cannes marketing experience even without a film in the festival. Taliaferro who works with both the Oakland International Film Festival and the San Francisco Black Film Festival will share some highlights along with directors Roach and O'Ray.

Information about festival timelines for submission will be given and how to maximize publicity opportunities especially in Cannes when over 10,000 producers and distributors from around the world are gathered. Henson will share investment opportunities that remain with "The Hotel." Taliaferro will give special insights to the African Diaspora Filmmakers.
