Concrete and Sustainability for Built Environment to be Addressed by Peter Doo, FAIA

Frederick, MD - February 21, 2013 – Architect and sustainability expert Peter Doo of Doo Consulting, LLC will speak on Thursday, February 21, 2013 in Frederick, MD to the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Maryland Chapter on concrete’s contributions to greening construction projects.   Peter  has 30 years of experience in architecture and design,  and most recently was responsible for creating the international “Brickstainable” (www.brickstainable.com) competition for a Brick manufacturer, leading to an unexpected industry wide  renewal of  appreciation for the sustainability of brick and its historic value.   On February 21st, Peter will  present to Maryland ACI  on trends in green building certifications, green building codes and future opportunities for concrete to contribute to green solutions for buildings and infrastructure.

Peter is a Fellow of the AIA and a faculty of the United States Green Building Council, who speaks frequently on rating systems, material certifications and design innovations.   His firm specializes in administrative document management for LEED and other green building rating systems, and provides strategic guidance for businesses and municipalities.
