Children Inspire Design Partners With Future Fortified To Fight Malnutrition In Bangladesh

Feb. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES, CA (February 12, 2013) – After a successful first round of fundraising with Future Fortified, Children Inspire Design, a socially-responsible art company, announces its ongoing commitment to help kids live, grow and learn with Future Fortified, a nutrition campaign of the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN). Children Inspire Design reached its initial goal to provide 5,000 children in Kenya with vital home nutrition packets in December 2012.  

Children Inspire Design founder and artist Rebecca Peragine creates the exclusive Global Compassion (http://www.childreninspiredesign.com/futurefortified) poster, of which 100% of the proceeds will benefit Future Fortified’s efforts in Bangladesh. Each print sold will help children in Bangladesh access the essential nutrients they need through home nutrition packets filled with vitamins and minerals including Iron and Vitamin A that moms can easily sprinkle onto their children’s meals, nourishing them for only pennies a day. Additionally, it will provide mothers with the resources, training and knowledge they need to supplement their children’s nutritional intake with these packets of nutrients. This has proven to significantly raise IQs and prevent malnutrition related deaths.

Good nutrition during the 1,000 day period from a woman’s pregnancy to a child’s second year of life is critical to put children on the right track to grow and thrive. Unfortunately, malnutrition rates in Bangladesh are among the highest in the world. With support from Children Inspire Design, Future Fortified seeks to improve nutrition for 25,000 children in Bangladesh.
