FREE American Conference on Diversity Program Helps Support Returning Vets in New Jersey

Feb. 12, 2013 - PRLog -- New Brunswick, NJ—The Atlantic County Chapter of the American Conference on Diversity is pleased to present a free program March 21 to educate, spread awareness, and promote a better understanding of the needs of our returning veterans. Hosted by Atlantic Cape Community College, “Supporting Those Who Serve: Helping the Returning Vet Access Healthcare, Workforce/Employment and Higher Education” will include a panel discussion of information, tools, and strategies to help transitioning veterans access healthcare and educational systems as well as reintegrate into the workforce.

Panelists include Anthony Macchiavelli, MD, Medical Director, Hospitalist Program, AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center; Kristin Morell, LCSW, Readjustment Therapist, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; and Thomas O’Donnell, Assistant Dean of Students, The Richard Stockton College of N.J. Attendees will be given an opportunity to ask questions of our panelists after the discussion.

The goal of the program is not only to promote an understanding about the issues, but to share with the community the steps they can take to support those who have served to protect our freedoms,” says Chair of the Atlantic County Chapter of the American Conference on Diversity Eric Reynolds.
