Philadelphia Fire Department Releases a Fire Safety Application

Bensalem, PA – The Philadelphia Fire Department has developed a Fire Safety application available on their website http://www.freedomfromfire.com.  It is a fire safety information Mecca for the citizens of Philadelphia.  The PenJerDel Chapter of the National Fire Sprinkler Association had the honor of contributing their knowledge of fire sprinkler systems to the application.

This application covers a wide variety of topics:  smoke alarms, fire safety, emergency service tips, emergency preparedness, FAQ, and information about the Philadelphia Fire Department.  The PenJerDel Chapter and FPI – Sentinel contributed to the “Fire Safety” section under “Fire Sprinkler FAQ.”  They helped clear the misconceptions about residential fire sprinklers for Philadelphia citizens.  Rick Coppola, NFSA Chairman of the PenJerDel chapter and Sales Director of FPI – Sentinel worked closely with the Philadelphia Fire Department to provide straight forward answers to the most frequently asked questions.   Anyone interested in the free application can download it here (http://www.freedomfromfire.com/fsapp/).
