Newport Expands SA2 Aluminum Breadboard Product Line
Newport Corporation introduces an expanded product line of low-cost aluminum breadboards and accessories for basic photonics research and OEM optical assemblies.
The SA2 Series sizes include 4 in. x 6 in., 6 in. x 6 in., 8 in. x 8 in., 6 in. x 24 in., and 6 in. x 36 in. to offer more flexibility for optical experiments. A standard grid of tapped holes extends to within 0.5 inches of the plate edges, providing more mounting surface than competitive products. The SA2 also features “in-grid” counter-bored holes and generous edge chamfers that make lifting, aligning, and integrating the SA2 onto standard optical tables much easier than competitive models.
Newport’s SA2 Series is available in custom sizes and shapes, upon request. The imperial standard models feature ¼-20 tapped holes on a 1-inch grid and metric models feature M6 tapped holes on a 25mm grid. All versions are deep black anodized to minimize surface reflections. Other surface finishes are available upon request.
