By: Activcare Physical Therapy Ryan Peryer, PT, DPT hails from Malone, a small rural area in Northeastern New York. A 2008 graduate from the University at Buffalo with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, Ryan was chosen by faculty as the student demonstrating "Leadership in Physical Therapy". Ryan offers experience in diverse patient populations in both the outpatient and acute in-patient settings. Ryan's passion is teaching, and he is an American Physical Therapy Association accredited Clinical Instructor. Colin McGowan, ATC, PT, DPT is originally from Brick, NJ. In 2007, he earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Kinesiology from The Pennsylvania State University, while earning his NATABOC Athletic Trainer Certified credential. He then worked at Syracuse University as a graduate assistant ATC for the sports medicine department primarily providing coverage for the Syracuse football team, while completing requirements for his degree; he graduated in 2009 with a Master’s of Science in Exercise Science. Colin worked at Championship Physical Therapy, a privately owned outpatient clinic in East Syracuse, prior to relocating to Burlington, NC to work on his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, which he completed in 2012. He has completed a variety of rotations including hand therapy and burn rehabilitation; Andrew Dodgson PT, MPT was brought up in southern Maryland but found his way to North Carolina prior to receiving his Bachelors in Biology at NC State University. He went on to attend Western Carolina University, where he graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2012. While earning his physical therapy education, he performed the duties of a graduate assistant and spent time in the biomechanics lab. Andrew contributed to research to examine the relationship between hip musculature and foot mechanics.
