The automaker won the first-ever Driving Engagement award, given out by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association and Word of Mouth Marketing Association for the best social media campaign of 2012!

The social media campaign that scored Honda the award was called the “Honda Loves You Back” campaign, and featured the band Monsters Calling Home. The band, which made a music video in their Honda vehicle, was surprised by Honda with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Honda then shared the story across many different social media channels.

The award was given out at the Social Media Preview during this year’s Chicago Auto Show.
