Feb. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Moksha Yoga Etobicoke is celebrating its one-year anniversary with a special party on Monday, February 18, 2013 from 4 - 6 p.m. at its 1138 The Queensway studio.  All members of the public are invited to enjoy refreshments, exciting giveaways and meet notable guests including Etobicoke MPP Donna Cansfield.

In honour of Family Day, Moksha Yoga Etobicoke is also inviting students to bring a loved one to practice for free on all February 18 classes at 10:00am, 12:00pm or 2:00pm.

"We can't thank the community enough for their support over the last year." Says co-owner Gabriela Nicole Doiu. "Our one-year anniversary party is meant to show our appreciation to our students and instructors who have helped to turn our dream into a reality."

Nominated as Etobicoke's Best Yoga Studio, Moksha Yoga Etobicoke has made a positive mark on the community since opening its doors in February 2012.  The studio has participated in a number of altruistic campaigns including Speak Your Peace, an initiative that raises funds for peaceful programs such as the David Suzuki Foundation (http://www.davidsuzuki.org/), and a Karma class (http://mokshayoga.ca/community/karma_charities/) fundraising event with proceeds going to the Children's Hunger Fund (http://www.chfus.org/).

"We're really looking forward to what the next year has in store for us." Says co-owner Catherine Braund-Pereira."We have many exciting events planned, and we know the community will have a lot of fun participating."

Continuing with their commitment to community involvement, Moksha Yoga Etobicoke is participating in its second 30-day challenge, which kicks off February 18. The event, supported by holistic nutritionist Laura Townsend, is a personal challenge where people dedicate and set aside time to practice as many times as possible in 30 days while simultaneously motivating and supporting their peers.

The studio will also be celebrating its first annual Moksha LOVE campaign, a Valentine's Day Moksha-wide awareness social media campaign that asks community members to post their relationship with yoga online using the hashtag #mokshalove via YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
