Global Tech Women Voices Conference Opens Registration

Global Tech Women opened registration for its inaugural Voices conference which will take place on March 8, 2013. This global virtual conference will include technical women from around the world. Registration is only $20.
 
Feb. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Global Tech Women announced today registration is now open for the inaugural Voices conference to be held International Women’s Day, March 8, 2013.   The Voices Conference will convene technical women from around the globe virtually and in-person, following the sun, across every continent. Technical men and women will present individually and collectively to discuss, collaborate and celebrate the contributions of technical women.  Registration is open at www.globaltechwomen.com

The Voices conference will begin in New Zealand the morning of March 8 2013 and end in Silicon Valley USA the evening of March 8th, 30 hours later. This year’s theme “Creating Global Connections” recognizes this landmark event as an opportunity, for the first time, to hear what women around the world are passionate about, how each speaker and attendee belong to the bigger picture and provide support and connection locally through access to information, resources and collaboration. The Voices Conference was created to enable women in tech in every corner of the globe to participate, no matter where they are located. Sessions will be recorded and available to conference attendees for one month after the conclusion of the event.

Countries currently represented in the Voices Conference include the United States, New Zealand, India, Switzerland, Poland, United Kingdom, Australia, Belgium, Portugal, Brazil, Canada, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan and Japan.  More countries will be added as the program is finalized.  Current conference topics include sessions on cloud computing, data centers, software testing, leadership, internet activism and the status of technical women on an regional, national and international level.
