Neo-Pangea Wins HOW Interactive Award, Finalist for SXSW Interactive Award
Neo-Pangea's Intern Abuser robotics project continues to garner accolades around the world, winning a HOW Interactive Award and being selected as a SXSW Interactive Awards finalist.
The HOW Interactive Design Awards encompass all types of digital work, from websites and kiosks to games and apps. Some of this year’s winning projects were created by top teams including Firstborn, Second Story, Cartoon Network and Hello Design. Proud to be counted among such noteworthy winners, Neo-Pangea looks forward to adding yet another prestigious award to an already crowded accolades shelf!
But wait, there’s more! A little electronic birdie has informed us that Neo-Pangea’s Intern Abuser event has been selected as a finalist in the Amusement category of the 2013 SXSW Interactive Awards! Our robotic baby will soon face off against stiff competition from Microsoft, Atari, Lego, and Jellyvision Games.
The 20th annual SXSW Interactive Festival will take place March 8-12, 2013 in Austin, Texas. An incubator of cutting-edge technologies and digital creativity, the event features five days of compelling presentations from the brightest minds in emerging technology. As the saying goes, “It’s an honor just to be nominated,” but we want that trophy! Consider yourself warned, Texas... Neo-Pangea is coming, and our carry-ons will be packed with East Coast swagger.
About the Intern Abuser:
A ground-breaking interactive experiment in high-tech tomfoolery, the Intern Abuser event was an international success. The experience fused custom robotics, HTML, digital & mechanical gaming elements, and lighthearted skullduggery into a hilarious cybernetic fun machine. Players from all over the world were granted an exclusive opportunity to aim and fire our robotic weaponry over the Internet at targets in our office.
