WoodPellets.com Introduces Industry's First Budget Savings Plan

Feb. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- February 7, 2013 (Goffstown, NH) – WoodPellets.com announces the launch of a new wood pellets savings plan designed to help customers budget their annual fuel cost, normally paid in one lump sum, over the entire year.  The Flex Savings Plan is the industry's first budget savings plan for wood pellets. But unlike many budget plans offered by residential oil and gas companies, a customer is not locked into a set price or product. Rather, this service is meant to provide customers with a structured savings plan with no contracts or minimum payments.

Joy Schmidt, customer service manager at WoodPellets.com, says the company developed the plan after extensive customer feedback. “It's still tough for some of our customers to pay for all their fuel up front," says Schmidt. “And while burning wood pellets (http://www.woodpellets.com) offers significant savings over oil or propane, many of our customers asked us for a way to help budget this large annual expense.”

Customers can sign up for the Flex Savings Plan in a few simple steps. First, the customer service team at WoodPellets.com provides a suggested savings goal based on the annual tonnage and fuel class a customer prefers.  Then the customer chooses a monthly payment amount and the length of their savings plan. There is no minimum monthly contribution, and no maximum length on a plan. Funding the plan can be made with most major credit cards or with a checking account.

Brigitte Thompson, controller at WoodPellets.com, said that in lieu of interest earned on the savings plan, customers will benefit from free delivery of their fuel, a value of up to $69 (delivery costs vary by location). “Why should heating oil and propane dealers be the only ones to offer a budget plan?" asks Thompson. "Now wood pellet consumers have a similar option for their fuel."
