Ministry confirm support for Power Industry North Africa 2013

The Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water & Environment and MASEN, the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy, have confirmed their support for the first Power Industry North Africa Conference which will be held in Morocco, on the 27-28 February 2013.
 
Feb. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- The Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water & Environment and MASEN, the Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy, have confirmed their support for the first Power Industry North Africa Conference which will be held in Casablanca, Morocco, on the 27-28 February 2013.

Senior officials from both The Ministry of Energy, Mines, Water & Environment and MASEN will be addressing the audience at the keynote address and both organizations will be sending a delegation to attend the conference.

The two-day conference will bring together local and international power industry experts, government bodies and associations to discuss key power sector issues impacting Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. The agenda includes high profile speakers from companies and organizations such as Office National de l’Electricité et de l’Eau Potable, Energy Market Regulatory Authority Turkey, ADEREE, MEDGRID, Nur Energie, and the Energy Charter.

North Africa has seen major planned developments in renewable, solar, wind energy as well as natural gas-fired generating capacity in recent years, due to increased demands. Furthermore the region’s vision of becoming a hub of clean energy development is attracting serious interest from international investors.

The conference has also received support from a number of other key industry associations including ADEREE (Agence Nationale pour le Dévelopement des Energies Renouvelables et de l’Efficacité Energétique), MEDREG is the Institution of Mediterranean Energy Regulators, The Energy Charter, ESIA (Emirates Solar Industry Association), Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), British Chamber of Commerce for Morocco, UKTI. Confirmed sponsors include Office National de l’Electricité et de l’Eau Potable, First Solar and Victaulic.
