New High School Girls Rugby Team Coming to Herndon, Va!

Feb. 7, 2013 - PRLog -- A new rugby team is starting in Herndon, Va. The Herndon Honey Badgers is a rugby team for high school girls in Fairfax and Loudon County. The head coach is a USA National Team Coach, Nichole Lopes. The team is in the North Conference of Rugby Virginia High School Girls, playing against teams from Fairfax, Langley, Western Loudon, and Alexandria.

The team will be hosting the Junior All-American Women during their East Coast stay in March. The Junior All-Americans are having four camps across the United States in March to look at players and provide them with development opportunities. The Herndon Honey Badgers will be able to watch their practices and scrimmages and meet some of the players.

Registration is open until March 17th 2013. Anyone who is interested should go to the team website: http://horfc.leag1.com/. There is also a Parents Meeting at the Herndon Police Station on February 21st 2013 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm, where you can meet the coaches, learn more about rugby, and ask any questions.
