-- On Thursday, February 6, 2013 , Mod Livin’ Modern Furniture (http://www.modlivin.com
), the Denver-based purveyor of modern and mid-century modern home furnishings and accessories, announced their first time participation in conjunction with the impossibly talented local artist, Amanda Gordon Dunn, in the highly regarded art object portion of Denver Art Museum’s annual Design After Dark; Denver’s most dynamic celebration of design, benefiting the Department of Architecture, Design & Graphics.
“We are so excited to participate in the show and silent auction this year. Amanda Gordon Dunn is a brilliant artist active in both Denver and Los Angeles with an incredibly prolific body of work. For Design After Dark, Amanda reinvented a table by one of Mod Livin’s manufacturers, Blu Dot, to fit within the assigned visual category of Illusion.” said Jill Warner, Mod Livin’s co-owner.
Mod Livin’ Modern Furniture was born in the summer of 2001 with the belief that good design doesn’t have an expiration date. Embracing the designs of our forefathers while championing those of our peers both locally and internationally, Mod Livin’ has carved out a unique space for itself. A 10,000 square foot showroom in Denver’s historic Park Hill neighborhood houses a curated selection of vintage designs alongside pieces by manufacturers whom they proudly represent. For those outside of Denver, Mod Livin’ is also a website showcasing over 3000 of the best modern designs online for your home.
Design After Dark will be hosted in Denver’s historic McNichol’s Civic Center Building on February 8th, 2013. For more information or to buy tickets, please visit their website. http://designafterdark.denverartmuseum.org/
