Massage Students Tour Newly Opened Spas

Feb. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- The massage students at Community Care College (CCC) are learning about the wonderful world of massage business waiting for them in the Tulsa community.  Students were treated to guided tours of three exceptional spas located in the Tulsa area.

Massage Envy is new to the Tulsa community. They provide membership based massage services in a clean, comfortable atmosphere. They fielded the students’ questions on appropriate dress for working massage therapists. They also provided insight on what it takes to be successful in the massage business.

Lifetime Fitness also hosted the students of CCC. Lifetime provides many services at their site: workout facilities, exercise classes, food and juice bars, and a full service spa and salon. This high-end facility employees experienced graduates and has full benefit packages for all their employees. Students received answers to their questions about interviews and professionalism.

Finally, students toured the Trainers Gym. This site is a one massage room facility that provides space to a single Therapist. She handles her own books and marketing, and manages all her clients’ needs personally.

Each of these facilities exposed the students to the different ways of being a massage therapist in the Tulsa community. These tours provided the students valuable insight into what is waiting for massage graduates.

The Massage Therapy Department at Community Care College is dedicated to providing quality professional education to its students and alumni. Instructors with over 30 years of experience train the students in the skills necessary to succeed in today’s professional massage market place. Students participate in 3 monthly volunteer events as our commitment to make a positive impact on Tulsa and surrounding areas.

The curriculum at Community Care College involves extensive practical experience in Swedish massage and all relaxation massage techniques.  In addition, training is included but not limited to Neuromuscular massage, Reflexology, Deep Tissue, Pregnancy massage, Shiatsu, Lymphatic Drainage, Thai massage, Polarity, Tuning Fork, Craniosacral, Therapeutic Spa, Sports massage, Stone massage, and business and marketing techniques for the growing massage field.
