Shared Spectrum Company Awarded Key DSA Patent for Gap-based Sensing Approach

Vienna, VA, Feb 4, 2013 – Shared Spectrum Company (SSC), the leading innovator of dynamic spectrum access (DSA) and spectrum sharing technology, has been awarded a patent  titled “Method and System for Dynamic Spectrum Access System Using Detection Periods”. The patent is the 11th DSA and spectrum sensing patent awarded to SSC from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. These inventions involve advanced technologies that enable the more efficient use of radio spectrum resources. The company also has several additional DSA and Cognitive Radio patents pending in the U.S. and Europe.
