Feb. 6, 2013 - PRLog -- Oxford Instruments America, Inc. is pleased to announce our calibration laboratory is now accredited to ISO/ IEC 17025:2005 through the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA).

This new accreditation in our Concord MA laboratory complements our existing A2LA compliance in our Scotts Valley, California laboratory, where we have been compliant with the A2LA accreditation for many years.

The ISO/IEC 17025:2005 is the main industry standard for testing and calibration laboratories, confirming effectiveness of quality management system and accuracy and reliability of tests within the laboratory.

Oxford Instruments’ coatings thickness gauges measure a broad range of material on almost any metal substrate, whether ferrous or non-ferrous. Typical applications include automotive refinishing, paint & powder coatings, electroplating and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) copper surface and plated thru-hole measurements. Within these industries there are quality control and regulatory compliance procedures that insist on regular calibration and certification of measurement instruments to a known set of standards.

Kelly Marchand, Customer Support Manager confirms: “We have always been dedicated to quality and reliability of the tests and calibrations we carry out for our customers, not only for our coating thickness gauges. Now, the A2LA accreditation acknowledges our accuracy, effectiveness and our competence as leading calibration laboratory.”

Oxford Instruments is committed to continuous improvement therefore we are currently expanding our laboratory capabilities in Concord MA to provide customers with more options for the re-certification, re-calibration and service repairs to their coatings thickness gauges.
