Abstract Artist Crystal Lauren Cornell Featured on The Wrighter

Feb. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Contemporary artist, Crystal Lauren Cornell is the latest artist to be interviewed on The Wrighter.  Cornell; a resident artist at the Vanguard Community Art Gallery in Moreno Valley, California; discusses what she considers her biggest achievement of 2012.

When asked about what Cornell plans to produce in 2013, she responded, “This year I have started working on a new series called the Sparkle Series. I am looking into producing some mix media paintings this year that will be representational pieces.”

In the interview, with questions provided by The Wrighter’s creator, Kobina Wright, Cornell describes her intuitive approach to her work.

“My approach and technique is really about my feelings at the moment. When I start a painting most of the time I have no idea of what I am trying to represent. I just go with the flow of my spirit. Texture and the blending of my colors is the identity of all my paintings.”

Wright recently finished an artist residency in Chiang Mai, Thailand in December 2012 and will travel to Philadelphia next month to cover and exhibit with Circus Terminal, USA at Studio B.  On February 2nd, 2013, she was an announcer for the Black History Parade in Anaheim, California.
